Water Safety Conference 2011

IWS Chairman Mr Frank Nolan, Mr Ulick Burke T.D. and Mr Barney O’Reilly on the occasion of a tree-planting ceremony by the people of Portumna in Barney’s honour for his life-time commitment to water safety in County Galway. Barney is a Life Governor of Irish Water Safety.

Irish Water Safety is the statutory body established to promote water safety in Ireland. We educate people in water safety best practices. We develop public awareness campaigns to promote necessary attitudes, rescue skills and behaviour to prevent drownings and water related accidents.
